We survived our free night!

Things have been going swimmingly on tour this year. This is probably the best we've done in my 15 years with Club in terms of audiences, consistency of performances, etc. The folks at our concerts have even enjoyed the UVa songs about Carolina that we thoughtfully included in our repertoire for tour! We're very grateful that the bus hasn't broken down (yet!). We had some problems with that last year.

Some of the guys come up with creative ways to sleep on the bus. They don't look comfortable to me, but what do I know?

In order to keep up their strength, we stop most days in an area with several fast food places. This is Bojangles, which recently opened up a new store in Charlottesville.

We've also been the beneficiaries of several excellent covered dish suppers at the churches where we've sung. Someone went all out on these deviled eggs in Shallotte, NC!

When we arrived in Charleston, SC yesterday, the guys immediately set about exploring. Some of them found a cat cafe and spent some time snuggling. The guys have really enjoyed staying with families that have pets (except for guys who are allergic; we put them in pet free homes).

Others found games to play, museums to visit, and karaoke to sing.

The guys scattered to the four winds for dinner, but it was easy to spot them in various restaurants while walking on King St.

Our hotel had a happy hour with free food and drink, so a lot of the guys decided "free" was better than paying. They have no idea what they missed out on!

It's safe to say that after a day in Charleston, the Glee Club left its mark!
